I don't know about the other handyman but when the handyman is at the house a good suggestion while he was inspecting whatever you would ask for is to ask him to inspect other things even though you are not going to have it fixed them there is no extra price at that point. Most handyman love to inspect one job and have several that makes things much easier when you bundle and say you have three jobs for $140 there's a chance he might do everything for $210 because he is already there some customers will go into price shock and say no no but with the handyman there was always that unwritten rule about negotiating price if you can remember that is what your grandparents used to do. When negotiating prices especially if it is your first time around some people like to say I don't like that price and then you take some money off and then they say I don't like that either and then you take some money off and then you get a repeat that is bad form it is better to be upfront with your pricing and what you want to pay or be specific when you tell the guy you want to discount you might just get it either way things will go a lot smoother he could come to your house hypothetically speaking and charge you $10 you end up paying them $100 imagine what kind of work he will do then he doesn't have bills to worry about he doesn't have gas to worry about and many other things all depending which means he will do a much better job without worries that is to say if he breaks a part he can go get a new part right away no headache and he doesn't have to ask the customer for money for parts that will put him in the zone as well as the customer I hope this helps and thank you for choosing Mike's maintenance
