About GigNGo
Know who's coming to your door.
When you hire someone for your home, you're letting a stranger into the most private parts of your life. GigNGo shows you the person, and the work they've filmed, before they knock.
What GigNGo is
Neighbors post what they need. Locals nearby offer to help.
Posting a request and hiring are free. Before you pick someone, you can watch clips of them doing real jobs, see the town they live in, and read what neighbors say about them.
Why it exists
Deciding who to let in was always the hard part.
Most towns have plenty of people who can fix a fence or clean a house. What's missing is anything that tells you who they are. You get a name, maybe a star rating, and a profile that's mostly empty.
That profile is usually empty for a good reason. Being great with your hands and being good at writing about yourself are two different skills, and most sites only reward the second one. So the locals who do the best work often look the worst online.
A short clip changes that. Watching someone hang a door tells you more than a paragraph about hanging doors, and they don't have to be good at selling to make one. That's what we built GigNGo around. See how it works.
What we check, and what we don't
We'd rather tell you plainly.

What we ask for instead is effort. To get work here, a local films the jobs they do and puts their name and their town on it, week after week. Somebody with something to hide is unlikely to do that.
That isn't a background check, and we won't call it one. A determined person can still film a job. So meet people, ask questions, and go with your judgment. More on this in what "background checked" actually means.
How GigNGo makes money
One flat membership for locals. Nothing from homeowners.
Homeowners never pay to post or hire. Locals can make a profile and post clips for free, and pay one monthly membership to offer on requests near them. We don't sell leads, and we don't take a cut of any job. The homeowner pays the local directly. The details are on pricing.
That choice shapes everything else. A site that sells leads earns more each time you have to start your search over. We do best when a local becomes the person a household calls every time.
Who's behind it
A note from Cameron
I started GigNGo. The first version was an app called Kickback, which I built as a student at Calvin University so neighbors could find someone to shovel their snow. It went through Calvin's startup program and got some local news coverage in West Michigan.
Running it taught me the thing this whole site is built on. People could find someone. What they couldn't do was decide whether to let that person in. And the people doing the work hated their half of it: paying for leads, cold-calling strangers, being ranked on how fast they answered.
So GigNGo works the other way around. Show the work, let your neighbors see who you are, and become somebody's go-to for good.

GigNGo is a Michigan company based in Grand Rapids, run by founder Cameron Lockrey. GigNGo launched in December 2025.
