Common questions
Is GigNGo free?
For homeowners, yes: posting, browsing locals and messaging cost nothing. For locals, making a profile and posting your work clips is free, and offering on requests takes a GigNGo Membership. Nobody pays a commission on a job.
How does GigNGo make money?
From locals who choose a GigNGo Membership, which lets them offer on requests near them and puts their profile ahead in local search. Nothing is taken out of a job, nobody pays per lead, and homeowners are never charged. See the membership.
How do locals get paid?
Directly by the homeowner: cash, Venmo, Zelle, or whatever both agree on. GigNGo doesn't process the payment, so there are no processing fees and locals keep every dollar.
What if something goes wrong?
Any request or conversation can be reported from inside the app, and the report carries the recent messages with it. Posts are checked for scams before they reach locals, and an account that draws repeat reports is hidden while it's reviewed.
How do I know who to trust?
GigNGo doesn't run background checks or confirm licenses. What you get instead is their work on camera, their town and what neighbors say about them, so talk before anyone comes over and check a license where your state requires one.
What can I post?
Most things around a home or yard: cleaning, yard work, handyman repairs, painting, moving help, assembly, pressure washing and hundreds more. If it's work a local could do at your place, post it.
Do I need the app?
No. You can post and browse right here on gigngo.org. The app adds notifications and, for locals, the live map of requests.
